An Easy Way to Get Yourself a Website
Wordpress - it's a truly terrific platform for building a website. I know what you're thinking... you want a real website, not a blog.
Wordpress can be used to create a real website, and can incorporate a blog in it as well.
I have been using this platform often lately for clients who want a content management system (they want to be able to update the site themselves).
I don't recommend using Wordpress.org for your site though. You need to get a host for your site. It's really a meager business expense at $6.99/month or so and it allows you to have wordpress installed directly on your site and gives you much more flexibility with blog themes, plugins and modifications to code. It's the only way I'd ever use wordpress.
Some of the themes that I recommend to clients are:
Brian Gardner's Revolution Themes
Elegant Themes
Woo Themes Zidalgo.com
There are also countless free themes to choose from.
Having your own website in addition to the free website that your business opportunity usually provides you has many benefits that will give you an edge up on your competition.
And if you're interested in making some money - a content rich website about a topic that you are really interested in is a great way to eventually earn some significant advertising revenue.
Let me know if you have questions about how to get started!

How to Monetize Your Website
When your website is just starting it won't have enough traffic or authority yet and it will be difficult to sell advertising space.
There are still ways to monetize the site though and bring in some money with the traffic you are getting.
1. The first thing to do is sign up for Google Adwords. They will supply you with a snippet of code that you will add to your site. Google ads will begin showing and you will be paid a percentage of revenue from every click.
2. Sign up for affiliate programs. Search for affiliate programs that complement your website niche and sign up for them. By promoting these products on your website, you can earn a percentage of any sale made. A couple of reputable affiliate networks to begin with are CJ and Linkshare.

Reputation... What's Yours?
With all the news of unethical corporations and businesses in today's troubled economy, is it any wonder the public is asking who's trustworthy in these seemingly untrustworthy times and skeptical about who to trust for doing any type of business?
With the financial and economic crisis dominating the news, there's no doubt about it...we are in an economic storm. Unemployment is up, consumer spending is down, cutting back is in, and over
spending is definitely out!
Whether you are a new or an established business, these are changing and often scary times and changing times require changing courses...literally.
