View Full Version : Call Agents for Alpine Access
I've heard great things about Alpine Access... They appear to be hiring some Call Agents, or at least collecting applications: http://www.alpineaccess.com/external/becomeAgent.html
Thanks Lori! I've heard they were a good company to work for and that most people enjoy the work.

Ditto, I have also heard great things about the company. They do only hire in certain states though.
Any idea which states Jen? :D

Has anyone heard about Working Solutions? They seem to be a reputable company. You work as an independant contractor and are never charged any fees to apply or work for them. I signed up; but it takes a while before you get your first assignment. I'll let you know how it works when I find out myself:-)

Good luck Mary, we'd love to know how it goes.

Yes, I have been an agent with them for almost three years. This company is by far one of the best companies to work for. They really look out for their agents.

So, Jen, how does it work? I'm curious and I'd like to be able to recommend it to other people, but I'm wondering how it works.
Thanks,
d

Jen, thank you for that response.
Do you remember how long you waited for your first assignment? I'm sure that time varies; but I'd like to have some idea. Also, how often do you get assignments now that you have been with them for three years? I read that you will get more work depending on your proven ability and reliability.

Well it only took me two months to get on with them back in 2003. That is really unheard of now. It is taking some people up to 18 months to hear back. When the agents get hired they stay put. They have a very low turnover rate.
With that being said, they are bringing on more projects all the time. So you just never know when they may contact you. I have been with many projects with them. Right now I am on a tech support project, where I provide tech support through e-mail and telephones.
Once you get assigned a project after your interview, usually takes about 2 months. Do your best and provide excellent customer service those first 4 to 6 weeks. Then, watch the message board where the post new project openings and you will be able to apply and stress how great your skills would go with the new project.
I can not say enough good things about this company. They always pay you a minimum for the hour you work even if the call volume is low. Which is rare with other companies. Also, they have an agent's reward program where each time you meet a new level (they calculate it by how much talk time or data entry records you do) you get a new reward just as gift certificates to huge popular stores and even new computers.
Hang in there and if you have any other questions feel free to ask. I have been with this company long enough to know the ins and outs. This company by far exceeds all expectations.
Hi Jen,
Great to hear from someone working with them first hand. Congrats on getting your placement with them, it sounds like a perfect arrangement for you :)
Alpine Access is really setting a precedent for how business of the future will often be done. I really look forward to seeing more and more of these types of companies crop up.
One question -- not sure if you mentioned it... I assume you're an independent contractor with them NOT an employee?
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Lori,
I am not with Alpine Access. Sorry that probably was confusing. I was replying to Mary's question about Working Solutions.
I am not sure how Alpine Access works. I have been with WS since 2003 and was hired as an independent contractor.
HTH.

LOL... yeah, I realized that after I posted :)
That's okay! Still great info.
