I hope you all had a terrific Mothers Day!

My oldest son always makes a really big deal out of it - it's so sweet. He woke me up with a big hug and an apology for an argument we'd had the day before :crybaby:

Then he got me tea and biscotti -- so sweet!

We got our garden started, had a ruthless game of Monopoly, played on the swingset... and ended the day with a cookout.

It was great.

The only thing I didn't do was take pictures which is tradition. I need to get some this weekend to make up for it :)

Hope you all had fun treasuring your kids too!

Lori,

I smiled reading your post. The girls and I decided not to do breakfast, so they could sleep.

My older daughter and I went out for chinese food for lunch. We also got a corner of my garage cleaned out YAHOO!!!

Then my younger daughter and I went out for mexican food for dinner.

It was a really nice, quiet, relaxing day.

Mother's Day had extra special meaning for us this year :)

I spent Saturday afternoon in the E.R with "threatened miscarriage" at 16 wks and now all seems to be well so I am thankful that baby is okay :)

On Sunday after hubby got home from work we all went to the local city park and had a picnic by the pond (courtesy of Quizno's LOL) and watched the ducks and geese. Then hubby and the kids played soccer and catch. The weather was beautiful and sunny.

How about other mommas??

Marlo,

How scary. Glad to hear that all is ok.

Oh glad to hear you and baby are OK now Marlo...also happy that Audrey and Lori had great Mother's Days too.

Mine was two days long because my husband had to work a double shift on Sunday (he's a chef and a lot of Mum's day bookings at the hotel). So, Saturday he fixed it so I could stay in bed all day and read! I don't get to read for leisure very often these days as I'm a full-time student. Then Sunday my kids made me a delicious (really) breakfast in bed AND the best part was that they cleaned up the mess!! This was a first!

I really got to spend two and a half days in bed...until I had to go to my meeting on Sunday afternoon...but that was fun too, so it was all great!

Marlo -

I'm so relieved you and the baby are fine. How are things going now?
