Job vacancy: Senior Copywriter
Consultant needed to develop writing concepts and copy for various marketing communications including, but not limited to: Online Media (promotional copy, web site content, etc.) and Direct Mail content. Consultant will be responsible for driving the "creative content" in all marketing communications; will work strategically, considering both the internal client's business objectives and the project's impact on the company; assure that all communications are aligned with the overall company branding.
Consultant will also be responsible for independently developing concepts and presenting them for consideration, adding value to the overall marketing effort. Consultant will create and produces innovative advertising and marketing promotion ideas. Develop and recommend creative copy concepts for new, as well as existing, marketing communication programs that achieve or exceed established strategic objectives, adhere to corporate style guidelines, and work within the overall design concept and budget.
Consultant will also be responsible for the consistent delivery of clear, concise, credible copy that is on-target with the creative strategy and reflects the spirit of an agreed-upon concept and creative brief. Develop, create, and execute written communication strategies and tactics for assigned clients. Contributes to concepts and writes copy for assigned projects, including but not limited to: off-air spots, web site promotional copy, direct mail, print, and other marketing collateral.
MUST HAVE:
5+ years in a Sr. Copywriter role focused on online content, editorial voice, and interactive marketing (Business to Consumer)
Proven ability to create content for business development and internal presentations, banner ads, emails (HTML and text), jump pages, web sites, rich media demos, some technical writing, help and FAQ content
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures associated with the development of online content
Writing samples in any of the following areas: creative writing, media communications, online content, editorial portfolio, or advertising
Previous brand advertising and direct marketing writing to a consumer-based audience
Ability to think critically and organize information for publication on the Web
Strong copy editing and proofing skills
STRONGLY PREFER:
Working knowledge of graphic design and information architecture methodologies
Knowledge of basic HTML tags
‘Sign-off’ on successful integration of writing or editorial content with visual and interactive design deliverables in the end product; ‘sign-off’ on successful integration of visual design, content, user interface and the structure of the project
Duration: 3+ months (possibility of ‘Contract to Hire’)
Location: South Bay with off site flexibility
