Good morning to everyone: Has anyone ever heard or attempted to try doing paid surveys on line? There is a site paidsurveyprogram.com that is suppose to be a good site and not a scam. I was just wondering if anyone does that type of work and is it worth looking into?

I have been taking them for over three years now. They can be a lot of fun and you can get into some great product tests. I had five last month and only had to return the unused portion of one (that happens now and then).. Mostly you get to keep the products and you often get paid for the tests.

The places like the one you mentioned usually just sell you a list or they have a free list and you still have to sign up with each and every survey company individually. This is something you should NEVER pay for!

You will never make a living and you must do it for the fun and the extra cash. There is a complete list of ONLY legitimate survey sites on my website and message board. I would highly suggest going into the survey section (don't click on the ads.. just scroll down) of my message board to read all about taking surveys and learn what it is really like. I also have a list in there that is free and does not include the email harvesting sites or offer sites that you find on so many lists (like the one you mentioned). My message board is the first link in my signature.

Is the mystery shopping legit? I've heard it is and I've heard it isn't.

is a great resource on surveys! I think I must try paid surveys.
How many times do you spend on surveys a week? (I hope I can afford it)

Sillygurl2l8, mystery shopping is legit, why not?
I've tries myself as mystery customer several times, but not on web.

Yes, mystery shopping is legitimate. Do not ever pay to become a mystery shopper. NEVER!!!

You can make money doing mystery shopping and taking surveys but you shouldn't pay to do either. They pay you.

Looks like this post would be better suited for another folder.

Since being out of work and can't seem to get anywhere on finding another job I have started doing research on ways to make money through the internet. I am a member of some survey sites and make little money. I would say if you are thinking of doing some be careful of scam sites. I myself would join some that your peers have used and trust to avoid wasting your time.

I think that a lot of sites are great, but you do have to make sure you do your research on them. I always check the BBB and the SurveyPolice.com. Sometimes you do get ripped off, so just be careful. The number one rule is that you should NEVER have to spend any money for these surveys.

I work with several survey sites. I havent run into any "shady" companies yet. I have learned when I am really busy .. not to waste my time on the surveys that dont offer cash.. only sweepstakes entries. Occasionally I do those but only if it looks like a survey Im really interested in.
I have received payment from companies sometimes when I dont even expect it! :-) Mostly I let my "points" for cash build up.. like a savings account and when Im ready to cash them in .. then I do. :)

Good Luck!

Definitely set up a separate email address for your online surveys. You'll get TONS of junk mail!

Hey Carol,

I have been doing GPT and surveys for a while. I started of slowly and started to find a lot more as I went along. I will probably be the same for you if you stick with it.

Be careful though. There are a lot of scams out there. A great place I found to help you get started is http://www.GeoSurveysOnline.com. This site has a great review of all kinds of GPT and survey sites. They are thurough and even tell you how each site pays.

Otherwise Good luck and hope you find what you are looking for.
