Oh it is spring again, what a busy time. We are trying to get the garden in ( it is late of course, I will spare you the details). We seem to be running all the time. The kids have plenty happening at school. Thankfully they are out on the 18th. The school just piles it on the last week or two. We are already behind in the mowing. We live in the country, have a giant lawn, not to mention around the buildings and in the open areas. Is anyone else in over their head already this spring?

I live in a rental house. They pay for a gardner. He comes every two weeks. By the end of the two weeks, boy are things overgrown.

I'm really looking forward to school being out. I can stay in bed a bit later in the morning.

Our garden has been a total failure, so I'm not even bothering with it this year. We also live in the country - basically in the middle of a pasture on top of a hill. I think that all of the nutrients must have leached out of the soil over time, because we can't grow a thing! I mow about 4 acres every week or so, too - but I enjoy that. It's nice to take a break from working at the computer and just ride around (and around, and around :hee: ) on the mower for awhile, and enjoy the outdoors. Now if it would just stop raining...

I am very much a morning person. I'm noticing that it's getting light earlier and earlier and I'm loving it. I really like the long days.

We're going to do some raised beds this year. I can't wait!

Speaking of gardening... but slightly off topic, have you guys seen those Aero gardens (http://www.aerogrow.com/)? That's what I want for my birthday! :shades:

That aero garden looks very interesting! I have cantelope and pumpkins getting ready to plant and have already got a bunch of flowers planted. I put in a new fountain in front of my porch swing but need to dig up a HUGE area around it to get more flowers in. On the other side of the yard is a huge spot that I planted wildflowers in but it needs a bunch of weeding.. Im still trying to convinve everyone that I MUST wait for he wildlowers to get bigger so I can tell the difference...

It would be easier to get out there and get it all done if the weather would be somewhat consistent. We have had a day or so of warm weather and right now we are on the third day of cold weather again.. :crybaby:

I just mowed my lawn for the first time today.

I am way behind on everything in general not just spring.
