When I first start working from home I did a ton of phone work. I hated it. But it paid.
I didn't telemarket... I provided customer support by phone for one of the webs leading internet marketers.
Most virtual assistant positions do require some phone work.
If anyone really needs some work - consider telemarketing. It would be a good position for someone with older children.
