Hey folks,

We're looking for someone working from home to join our zany crew. Here's a summary of the job, if this looks interesting the whole enchilada is at http://wondermill.com/support.html

Wondermill Webworks (http://www.wondermill.com) is a small Canadian company that creates easy-to-use web tools for small businesses. We all work from home, across 3 time zones and two countries (Canada & USA). Along with a great product, we want to offer our people impressive customer service. Right now we're all pitching in to get things done, but we could use some help.

This is where you come in!

Initially this job involves customer support and reviewing/approving websites, but it may grow to encompass other tasks as well. You never know what you'll be working on next in an internet startup. Flexibility and being open to new projects is important.

Customer Support:

People get in touch when they don't understand something and sometimes because they want to connect with a live person before ordering, just to make sure we're a real company. If they get a fast and helpful reply they're far more likely to order our services and recommend us to others, so this is an important job.

This part of the job is driven by outside support requests - you would check in at least 3 times per day for support questions. You can schedule this time however you like. The benefit for you is that you can manage your working hours/schedule, and the benefit for Wondermill is that by spreading the time across a few work sessions, we always get back to people quickly.

Some questions are technical, but they are usually simple. For any that you don't understand, you would gather some information from the user and then pass the issue on to our technical samurai.

Who are you?

* You're happy working from home, and you have a high-speed connection there.
* You're smart, friendly, and enjoy working as part of a team.
* You are organized.
* You have top-notch spoken & written English skills. Your writing style might be described as "friendly-yet-professional."
* You use the internet. A lot. HTML ability is a bonus.
* You're a self-starter who brings energy to projects. Because we avoid bureacracy and tight controls, we need people who Get Things Done. We need people that say "what else can I do?" rather than hear "So... did you get it done?"

Hours:

This is a new position, and we haven't finalized how many hours/day it will entail. Our estimate is approximately 3 hours/day (Mon-Fri). There's a possibility that it will expand as the company grows, so please apply only if you're happy with more hours.

etc etc.

Everything is at http://www.wondermill.com/support.html

Sounds like a good opportunity with flexibility. I'm sure they will probably get lots of replies, but I threw my name in the hat too. Hopefully I will be considered. I've got my fingers crossed. :-)

Good luck Toni! How long have you been working as a VA?

Thanks Lori. Not too long. I just started in April of this year but am having a rather difficult time getting my first client. I have tons of experience and just need a chance. Right now I am trying to build up a customer base. Hopefully time will bring a change. I'll just keep trying. :D

Hang in there. Most of us internet marketers and business owners know that VA's are critical to have. And a new VA is a good catch. If you get an established one you'll often end up trying to fit into their already busy schedule ;)

Hey guys,

I'm glad I checked in - the "someone replied to your post" feature didn't reach me. I'll have to check my mail filters.

Thanks for the replies and the applications. I'll get back to everyone privately of course.

PS: I did receive yours Toni, thanks.

I was very enthusiastic when I read about the posting and what they were looking for. I also have been signed up with a UK company as a VA, but they are still expanding and it is very hard to get some of the work, from there to the US. I am very much a team player and I like to get the job done, and be sure that it is done correctly. I don't if I have all of the experience that they are looking for, but I figure I still drop my name in the hat also. Wish me luck.

:colors: Glad you like it here! Aaron, can you let us know when the position is filled? And by all means come back when you're hiring again!

I checked out your site -- you all look like a really fun team to work with. And the creators of SUPERTAF... wow!
