Hubby and I were shocked and amazed to get over $7k back on our tax return. Yahoo! Usually tax time is less than fun so this was great :)

Marlo,

I've had years like that and I so love them. This year we had to pay, so now my estimated taxes have gone up.

It's so neat to see the photo of you. I read your posts on many forums and now I have a photo to associate with the words.

Hi Audrey;

Paying taxes is no fun :(. We were hit hard one year for my hubby's IT contracts before we incorporated our business - ouch.

We are putting this refund toward a newer vehicle as we are expecting a baby in late October and don't have enough room in our current car lol.

Congratulations on your pregnancy :) What kind of car do you currently have? I drive a Honda Accord.

Hello Audrey :)

Thanks for the congrats. I am just coming out of horrendous morning sickness that seemed to last all day LOL so I am feeling a bit better.

We have a 2000 Ford Focus. It is beginning to rust by the doors LOL. There is no way that a third car seat will go in the back either. It has been a blessing that it even lasted this long as it was a first year model and had TONS of problems and recalls.

Hoping to get some sort of suv/van hybrid of sorts :)

Honda's hold up really well and have a great resale value, don't they?

I drove a Camry for about 15 years. I loved it...but I wanted something different, so I got the Honda. I've not been thrilled with it. I'ts only a year old and it's been in the shop several times :(

I too had "morning" sickness 24 hours a day so could never understand why it was called "morning" LOL

Hi,

Not to intrude on your conversation, but we have a Ford Escape. Ford released a hybrid version in 2005. We don't own the hybrid, but like the gas mileage on the gas version. It's pretty roomy and would probably hold a 3rd car seat (we only have 2!) I think it also has a 3 row option - bought ours off the lot, so didn't get to choose! We have been very pleased with the Escape.

Good luck with the baby!

Congrats on the return Marlo! We had good news too -- only owed 1k :) I thought it would be way more. The kids deductions saved our butts!
