Data Entry / Research Editor
World Trade Press is a publisher of international trade, business travel,
and reference material for print and online content. We are looking for a
dedicated individual to assist in updating our content database. The
successful candidate will work with our research team to cull data from
online sources and enter it into our customized database. This temporary
project will focus mostly on worldwide telecommunications and Internet
providers followed by research for country-specific holiday dates.
The type of person we seek is methodical, dedicated and focused in nature.
If you are not put off by detailed production work, you may be the right
candidate for the job. Although we would like the individual to be well
versed, we want to emphasize that this is not a writing position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must Be:
• Detail oriented, organized, consistent, and focused
• Excellent in spelling and grammar
• Proficient with PCs and data entry
Must Have:
• Tolerance for doing production research and data entry for 8 hours a day
• Zeal for researching and assessing relevant data
• Ability to work independently and think critically
• Capacity to work well with deadlines and manage time effectively
• Ability to follow instructions and proscribed database formatting
• Interest in international and technical data
• B.A./B.S. degree
Preferred Extras:
• Experience in international travel
• Some foreign language proficiency
This is a full-time, temporary contract position. Pay is $20/hour. Starts
Immediately.
The qualified individual must be able to work at our office in Petaluma (no
telecommuting) for the duration of the project. The project may last up to
three months and maybe longer.
