Discovery Toys provides an attractive and flexible opportunity that will allow you to be there for your children. For those of you that don't want to do parties, don't worry, my team and I personally do not do parties. I am not saying NEVER, because every blue moon you may get a customer who asks if you could show your demo toys to her and her friends. But this happens to me maybe twice a year. My team focuses on handing out fliers or putting door hangers on people's doors. We also post fliers with our website address at Grocery Stores, etc. The other way we build business is by sending letters to Daycare facilities. I wrote the letter, all you have to do is add your name and information. We offer them a 10% discount to buy toys from us. We also send them business sized "club cards" to give to all the parents of their students. The card offers them a 10% discount if they mention they are students at whatever daycare. We do fund raisers for daycares, churches, etc. The way we make a big amount of our money is by going to Arts & Craft shows, Fairs, Festivals, etc. Most of the time it costs about $10-$25 to be a vendor but you get TONS of orders. Also, I provide lead sheets for my team. I purchase them from a Marketing firm. The leads are people who live within a 5-10 mile radius of your house, have children, and have purchased children's products by mail order or internet within the last 12 months. This narrows it down to people who are likely to buy from you. You can then go by the different addresses and drop off a catalog, flier with new deals, etc. You truly can make money without doing parties and all these customers just get your website off your flier, catalog, etc., place the order at your website, and it gets shipped directly to them. All you have to do is wait for your commission check to come in the mail!
