That's kinda scary. So can someone type in my address and see my neighborhood?

Yeah, precisely.

It's really amazing Nell - you've gotta download it.

I can barely get my husband OFF of google earth these days :)

I've only been messing with Google Earth for a few days & it seems pretty cool. I'm not sure if I'm working it correctly though because where they say my house is located looks right as far as the street but there's one thing missing...this HUGE tree in my front yard. All the trees in the neighborhood are right where they belong but mine is missing.

Also, I searched for Crater Lake (in Oregon) and it zoomed in but then it kept going and going and going until it was like we were under water. Everything went black and it froze up.

The weirdest thing was almost all of the western states seemed to be blurry compared to the middle states. I tried adjusting everything but oregon and washington both looked mostly green and I couldn't zoom in even on the larger cities.

Anyone else having these problems?

Hi Mel,

We had trouble on our laptop. John changed a setting and it worked like a charm. I'll find out what that was...

Sure thing... okay so here's the scoop.

He says to open it in directx mode -- are you doing that already?

:shades:

Thanks Lori!

Google rocks! That's probably my most used website. (This one is second!!) I thought I downloaded a Google toolbar so I wouldn't have to click my bookmarks, but apparently I did something wrong. I'll go back and try it again and mess around in Google Earth some!

That is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me :D

No, but really - google DOES rock. Did you hear about India and other nations asking them to consider their privacy around the borders? What an amazing technology Google has just put in laypeople's hands.

I have always said... the only way I'd leave my work at home job would be to work for them :D
