Each of us offers support in different ways. How do you offer support? Do you offer suggestions? Do you offer a shoulder and an ear? Do you have hugs? Do you have to get involved? How do you offer support to others?

I offer to listen to them vent. I ask them if they just want an ear to hear, advice, accountability etc. If they want something more than just a listening ear then I offer that too :)

I have a bad habit of trying to give advice too quickly, but mostly I try to listen and be their "vent".

I am solution oriented, so I also tend to offer my advice.

I listen to people vent. Sometimes thats all they need; someone not to talk, judge, advice-just listen. If they want my two sense, I'll give it. I find not sugar coating anything they really know how I feel and they respect me more.

I consider myself to be a very good support person. I try to make myself available as much as possible...lend an ear, offer ideas & solutions, etc.
