I just saw this movie this week. Oh my gosh, it was so good. I loved Russell Crowe. What a talented man. What a fun character to portray. Has anyone else seen the movie?

I loved that movie too! I've been trying to read the book for over a year now... It's sitting on my end table. I just never find time to read!

My daughter is involved in an after school activity where I just wait for her. So, I get 45 minutes per week now that I read. This past week I read about 3 or maybe 4 chapters.

I've not seen it. My brother is afflicted with the disease and it is a terrible frightening thing. I wonder how real the move is compared to what people usually deal with who have this disease?

Hi Nell - I'm sorry to hear that.

I haven't got far enough in the book to say for sure... but from what I've heard from others -- the movie is quite different then the book.

So I'd say it's been hollywoodized.

Still was great from my perspective though...

My guess is that the movie gave us only a hint of what life is like for those affected with this disease.

My daughter brought me home another Russell Crowe movie last night. It's called The Insider. I've not seen it. I hope to watch it in the coming week.
