Ok, so spring will officially be here tomorrow. I know some of us participate in Easter activities, start gardening, etc. What specific activities are your favorites?

Great topic!

I start walking more and clean up the yard. We also start barbecuing. I don't have a green thumb but would like to start gardening.

Mmmmmmmmm...barbecuing! Are you one of those serious barbecue folks who has all their own special & secret sauces?

My husband is the serious barbecuer. I can't discuss the secret sauces or I'm in serious trouble! LOL

LOL We have our "secret" sauce too. I have to admit that I love sitting outside and sitting around talking or watching the birds while we grill. My mom is just tickled to death by the birds at the feeders we have scattered around so I have to add "backyard birding" to my list of favorite spring activities. :)

I too have started walking more. I love BBQing. We don't have any secret sauces. I just use my normal year round marinades, only now they also have a BBQ taste.

Ok, so do you have a gas grill or do you use charcoal?

We have a charcoal grill. The gas grill gave out last year but due to the dry conditions in New Mexico, we cannot use charcoal. We'll hit the stores soon for a gas grill.

Spring! I'm so happy. Even though we still have a ton of snow here... it was so gorgeous out today. I brought the baby out and sat on the deck in the sun. She loved it. I loved it.

I'll be walking much more too - and gardening.

We bought this house last year at about this time... I was pregnant and the pregnancy had some complications so I really didn't get to enjoy the spring or the summer. I'm really looking forward to being outdoors and enjoying the yard this year. The previous owners have planted gorgeous azaleas and roses everywhere. I know there is one clematis... and all of them are very mature. I can't wait to see them again and learn what I need to do to care for them.

Pssst...Lori,

Here's a site to get you started and/or even more excited! lol

http://www.homeofclematis.net/ We have several wild clematis and they took over the whole fence! When if full bloom, it looks like a mound of color.

Well, when I first started this thread, I was really looking forward to the warmer weather so I could get started with my gardening and a few outdoor things. What I want to know is...WHAT happened to my Spring?!! It was 85 degrees yesterday!! Humf!

This morning, I'm freezing!!! Heat is shooting in my house. I'm sure by this afternoon it will be warm. This up and down is tough.

It snowed yesterday here in New Mexico. It's still cold today despite the sun being out and melting most of the snow.

I wonder if Lacey jinxed us starting this thread! (Just kidding, LOL)

boohoo, I feel left out...we're going into Autumn down here in the Southern Hemisphere...and it's still strange to me, to have Fall weather, leaves falling and cold, clear days but no Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas in sight.:crybaby:
Oh well, can't complain...it's nice to have Christmas in the summertime:good1:

Happy Spring Cleaning:)

I live in California and so sunshine in December is not uncommon.

Right now we have winds that they say might get up to 70MPH.
