Hey ladies!

I thought it might be fun to post a small article I wrote in 2001, before I was working 40+ hrs a week at this wonderful endeavor called 'work from home'. I guess I'm trying to say you CAN MAKE IT. It may take some time, but it's totally doable. Don't lose hope!

====================
It's Sunday night already (or is it Monday morning now?) and I am pounding the keys again. Surprisingly, it takes a great deal of time to find those opportunities to work in your 'free' time. As I check through my favorite sites, hoping for something, anything, that will give me a chance to make some additional money, I wonder if I should just get a job. A real job.

Let's consider the amount of time I spent on the internet this evening, feverishly scanning the pages for a legitimate opportunity. Did I find anything? Actually, I am still hopeful. Someone might choose me to help write a small book. I am also in the running for a few bookkeeping positions. And I plan to hear from Publisher's Clearinghouse on January 31.

In checking my email, I did find that I had sold another psychology textbook at Half.com (psychology being my career choice prior to freelancing. The common sense gene is missing in my family). Amazingly, I have made almost $200 in the past month selling those dusty, musty packets of information. Actually, that is my most profitable freelance endeavor to date. If I could just find someone to pay me for the hours I spend on the internet searching for job leads, I would be set.

Great article! How it expresses my sentiments, half.com and all!
