Hi all,
This isn't really 'in the news' but I thought it was appropriate. I just had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall ALL of my numerous programs! Yes, it totally sucked. Anyway, as I was waiting for all of this to finish and during the 15 restarted of my computer yesterday, I began reading an article about virus protection. Now, yes, I have protection (I use PANDA, which in my opinion is by far the best) but I haven't paid a lot of attention to weekly warning and such. This article recommended something that I think is a WONDERFUL idea and I wanted to pass it on. It may be something common and I just didn't know but it's a great tip anyway:
Create 2 user accounts on your computer, one with administrative control and one with user control. Do your daily work in user control mode. It's easy enough to switch if you need to install something, and that way, your computer isn't vulnerable to the trojans that will really wreck your computer.
If anyone has any thoughts on this, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks! :work:
