Online relationships can sometimes mean the difference between feeling isolated and alone and feeling connected.

I'll share a few stories of my own online experiences. About 5 years ago, a woman emailed me. She was looking into something that was a scam. When I wrote her back I shared a tiny bit about me, how I came to answer her etc. When she wrote back she shared a bit about herself. It's now 5 years later and she and I are the greatest of friends. We used to joke around that we were soul sisters seperated at birth. Our lives have really run very parallel.

One other story. A woman I know suffers from Fibromyalgia. She began an online support group for others also suffering from Fibrmyalgia. Although she and I have now lost track of one another, the last time she and I spoke she had well over 1000 people receiving her weekly newsletter and coming to her site for help and support.

For me personally, I enjoy writing. Journaling often is a chore for me, but posting is something I enjoy. I have often worked my way through dilemmas by posting and by reading what others have to say on the subject.

So, please do post. Share your struggles and share your accomplishments. Lean on us!!!

I have myastenia gravis and have often thought of doing something along those lines. I do believe by sharing the ups and downs life becomes much easier. Patti

Great suggestion Audrey! I believe overall writing is very therapeutic in many ways. It helps keep one's ideas flowing, releases stress, and helps you think out loud etc. I think it's beneficial all the way around.

Awesome Audrey! :)

And I couldn't agree more Sophia. It's still a bit of a challenge around the holidays for me. I thought this year would be a lot easier...but it's not.

I'm finding this new blog to be very, very therapeutic. The ideas are flowing. :work:

Tammy.....write about it. Talk about it :) I think you'll remember I lost a dear friend a little over a year ago?? Talking and writing really got me through. Just yesterday I saw the clergy who presided at her funeral. There was a tear or two, but we also laughed and shared hugs. Memories are with us forever :)

Audrey after Thanksgiving I'm going to write a short story. This project will take me awhile, but I'm thinking this will help a lot. Sorry about your loss too Audrey. I think I remember something about that.
