Just want to share my story about my son. His name is William and he's presently 6 years old going to be 7 in April.

When William was 5 and just starting kindergarten, I was so depressed and didn't want my baby to grow up. I was worried about him starting school and hoped he wouldn't have seperation issues as i was his preschool teacher. Anyway we went to the school in September on his first day and I spoke with the teacher and when I was going to kiss and hug my boy goodbye he was already playing and meeting new friends. When he noticed me looking for him, I got "oh, bye mom" and off he was, so much for seperation issues, I was the one who had to deal with them, lol. So his first day of kindergarten had come to an end and I showed up at his classroom to pick him up. We left the school and was walking towards the car when I asked, "So William, how was your first day of school? did you like it?" and I got a very upset look from him and with attitude he responds: "They didn't learn me nothing!"

I will never forget that day, it was so hard not to giggle, but I guess kindergarten wasn't as educating as he thought it would be, lol, maybe he wanted to learn algebra or something on his first day, I don't know, but I thought it was the cutest thing he said so that week I bought scrap book material and started his school days book and the cover states: THEY DIDN'T LEARN ME NOTHING!

How cute.
I know how you feel. My youngest is just turning two this month, but I can't help but think of how all of his firsts are going to be our lasts. I guess it's good in a way, it makes us appreciate our children more. They're only little for such a short time!

You know, my kid blurted to the doctor the other day that I don't like vegetables too. We were there becasue she,a 7 year old, has dry skin and the doc said she needs to have lots of veges.
