I have looked and searched through so many sites that I'm getting a headache soon :) There are uncountable sites out there, most of them wanting you to pay. And by now I've learned the rule, dont pay until you know what it is. And even if I wanted to pay I couldn't. One of my problems, or actually my biggest problem seems to be i don't live in the U.S. I am not looking for a job where I will make $100 a day, I am just loking for an extra income. Writing for Associated Content seems to be good business, IF you live in the U.S. I still haven't figured out if CC accepts international offers, but AC is more appealing aswell.
I feel as i am going in circles and I'm sure I'm not the only one. There are loads of people looking for online work and it is suppose to be out there, you just have to have to the luck of getting it I guess? So I am open to proposals, hints, anytihing you can tell me (and others looking for a job). Could be anything from writing to data entry or Virtual assistant.... I am not only bilingual but multilingual which I thought would be an asset but so far hasn't proved to help me.
How did you start?
* I didn't know where to post this so i hope I did it in the right thread*

Step one...seperate out job and business. Becoming a VA would be starting a business. Data entry is a job, but they are very very tough to find.
I can't imagine a U.S. employer hiring someone in another country when those rare telecommute positions attract thousands of applicants.
There are a few sites that list telecommute positions regularly:
www.wahm.com
www.onestopwebemployment.com
See if you must live in the U.S to qualify for these jobs. I know we have some VA's on this board. Set your preferences to be able to read posts back from the beginning and take a look at the VA section here on this board.

Thank you Audrey, you are right the chances of someone wanting to have a VA or similar in another country when they could fins someone in the U.S is quite small :)
Well I keep trying and we'll see what happens.
Thansk for the tip on setting my preferences, I did that and now i can see everything! Good.
Linda :)

Linda,
By all means keep looking. Do visit the two sites I listed. Also visit www.katieshugs.com She lists tons of surveys and I believe she also has mystery shopping information. I'm not sure if it's limited to the U.S. or not.

Once again, thanks Audrey! I won't give up just yet! :)
What is the Brazil exchange rate like?
U.S. providers are constantly being underbid for data entry work at elance (http://www.elance.com/c/splash/main/publish.pl?rid=AAGT&f=sellerfunnel1). In fact, most of the job posters there seem to be looking for people overseas to work at a cheaper rate.
Virtual Assistant work would be harder to land. Mostly because VA work generally includes making phone calls.
Check out the job leads forum (http://www.freelancemom.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=86) here at FreelanceMom too :)
Warm Regards,
Lori

the current rate is something like the double a dollar and a bit more. So for me, if i make 300 dollars a month that will help me alot. I will have another look at elance, what i remember there is a fee to sign up and at the moment I haven't got any money to spend on that. otherwise that would be a good option. thanks.
