Hi everyone - I received this email today and thought I'd post it to inspire :D

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

I wanted to share with you the story of my self started web design business. How it all started.....I actually had purchased a scam type business on Ebay, you know one of those $149.99 get rich quick things:) I was so ignorant to what a real business was that I thought "Hey if it's on Ebay, it has to be legit!", boy was I wrong. The seller ended up giving me a floppy disk with ways how I could scam others and one of the steps included was building a website so others could know about your business. This is what changed my life. After a few hours with HTML, I was hooked and have not looked back. The $149.99 I spent was the best thing that had happened to me. I was on a new dimension of computer skills. I knew I had always liked computers, but I really liked putting images together to paint a nice picture. So that is how it all began...

One of the biggest issued I have had with the world of self entrepreneurship is learning how to separate business from family. That is a tough one. I do have a husband and child and there are times where I feel like I don't pay enough attention to them because I have project deadlines that I can't afford to lose. I often take a break from time to time and go outside and just breath. I then come back in more focused and relaxed. I try to have work time and mom time. I try to not let the two mix. I also have a dedicated office and separate phone line, one for family and one for business.

To think how I would have been just surfing the web, falling into more scams, just wasting my hard earned saved money when instead I am doing something for myself and my family. The extra money I make allows me to invest deeper into self training and allows the business to grow. I have hired numerous employees and had had great success at achieving almost 50+ client base in less than 2 years having had not one drop of web design knowledge. I am happy that I did not give up and the opportunity was waiting for me the whole time. Don't give up ladies! The key is finding what you are good at and working on that skill every day.

Please feel free to publish my story,

Kindest regards,

Erica Ramirez
