During days of good sales at the large department stores, most salespersons look disgrantled and fedup. You can understand their tiredness, but occasionally you want to shake them up and say - hey I am a customer - stop thinking of me as an irritant in your life !!!

I truly can't remember the last time I found a salesperson who was helpful and friendly both. LOL.

More often than not, the cashier is either on the phone, speaking with another employee or just plain ignoring me. If they are quick, I'm completely happy. Yesterda, I went to buy a sandwich at lunch. The cashier knew the customer 2 folks in front of me and proceeded to have a conversation with her. I finally said "can I just leave the money on the counter for my sandwich?". At that point she finally began helping the next customer.

Last week, the cashier at a completely different store was speaking to the person bagging my groceries, and not even in english.

For me, this is just the norm around here.

I tend to frequent the same stores so everyone actually knows me when I am out and about. I rarely encounter a sales person nightmare.

I did however have an ignorant @$$wipe behind me in the bank line yesterday yelling at me because the teller did not come immediately after my TWO buzzes at the window.
These people I could do without.
