My favourite dislike are the telemarketers who call on my mobile. Driving through heavy traffic, irritated and fed up - your mobile rings.
You scramble to find it, pick it up - and lo and behold some marketing woman is selling you something!!
At that time - I am not a nice person to know !!!

I get almost no solicitations on my cell phone. I do get them on my home phone and I really dislike them. The worst for me is during election time. My phone must rings and rings with political solicitations. I really hate being told who to vote for.
I love caller ID both on my home phone and my cell phone. It lets me pick up only the calls I choose to pick up.

Call display is my best friend. Can't live without it. :)

Call display is present on the phone, but often you do not recognise the number and pick the phone up or speak on the speaker phone. It is definitely irritating and it is not easy being polite towards them.

If I answer my phone and it's a telemarketer, I say nothing. I simply hang up the phone.
If I get spam, I hit delete. If someone calls I hang up. I do not owe them an explanation of why they have bothered me.

Have a 95 year old Aunt who is very rude and mean to the telemarketers before she hangs up on them, I tend to take a different approach.
I have found that if I am short with them I soon get a similar call.
I found that if I am civil and gently direct I get removed by the circulation and no longer recieve calls.
ie: "Thank you for your offer, I am not in the market for such and such. Have a nice day"
I rarely recieve calls on my cell.
