On my articles on my site. I had to manually delete over 30 spam comments on three different articles during the weekend. I didn't realize it was there until I was looking at my site's stats. When I looked on the referral URL and it said something about p0rn, I thought how is that related to my site? YIKES! That's when I saw 20 spam links on one article, then on another and another.
So today I spent about 2 hours deactivating the comment feature for all 200+ articles currently on my site. It was a job that had to be done or I would have gone insane. There's no way I was going to constantly check to see who's adding spam while I'm sleeping. Apparently banning them didn't seem to work unless there's a delay in the system and I will have to look into that.
So here's to spam free comments on my articles from now on!
