My site has undergone another overhaul. I'm gearing it more towards a resource rather than a service-based site. I've found that while I get scads of traffic, it just isn't converting to service business, although I get lots of resumes and requests of various kinds (LOL).

So, what do you think, ladies? It still needs more content, but I want opinions on the design. Any thoughts appreciated!

Debbi,
Looks really good! I am a big fan of the vivid blue and white. I also like the font you used for the links on the left and the pattern (snowflakes) used in some of the blue.

The only thing that you may want to try, just a thought... on my screen the edges around the buttons and the header show silver and it looks really cool.. but on the left side, the long blue column has either a dark gray line, or a black line on its right edge... and it almost looks out of place.

Maybe try having it just the blue (no edge) or maybe the silvery looking type of line. And the bar to the left of the text, maybe try also making it the silver/grey color? And then if you did that, you could take the lines out of the table (used in the email sign up) and use the same silver/gray background there so highlight that area, or seperate it. (using the silver/gray would also pull into the right hand column which has the grey background.)

I hope that makes sense  It loaded really fast on my NON DSL connection  and looks so clean, crisp and professional!

Thanks for your input. I really value your opinion and your work quite often inspires me when I can't come up with anything. :)

I think I understand what you're saying and I should have thought of it myself, really. I'll give it a try and see what I can come up with. Often I overlook these little details and I'm trying to pay more attention to them.

Thanks again! Love your latest work.

You are very welcome. I re-read my post and it is kindof hard to follow...
I know that when I work on a site for so long, I always have a few major mistakes that are overlooked because it has all run together.

PS. I was browsing your portfolio and you have done some really gorgeous sites!

Debbi,

Hey! I didn't see the snowflakes before!

It's looking VERY professional. I think this has tons of potential for you.

Terrific job, excellent content forming. Simple, clear and clean.

I took the poll

I'm with the other moms - color is good, easy to navigate. I especially like that you aren't bombarded with entrance & exit popups 8)

P.S. I had to scroll to the right to read all of the info.
