I would appreciate comments from those who have been involved in home businesses and have been successful at it. I am not looking to start my own home business, I have plenty of work to do now. But I have been asked to put together a series of articles about this venture and there is just so much hype out there to cut through.

Basically, what I would like to know is this:

How did you finally find something that worked for you?

How many false starts did you have before you found one that worked?

How much did you have to invest in order to start?

Did you have a good ROI and if so how long did it take for you to see progress?

Thank you for any help you can extend

I lucked out and pretty much found legitimate work from home right away as a virtual assistant. It took about two weeks of internet research to sort through the bogus sites.

How many false starts did you have before you found one that worked?

None.

How much did you have to invest in order to start?

Nothing. My first clients came through elance (http://www.elance.com/c/splash/main/publish.pl?rid=AAGT&f=sellerfunnel1) which at that time didn't have membership fees.

Did you have a good ROI and if so how long did it take for you to see progress?

Immediately - but this isn't a biz op so much as it is a 'work and invoice' type of business.
