HELP with links!

I just built my website and wanted to exchange or just put in links to other sites but I have no idea how. Help! The web hosting that I am using is kind of confusing and I can't figure it out. It can't be that hard!! If you have any advice, I could use it please. Thanks,

First, create a page that you will dedicate to your links. If you haven't made it just yet, don't name it links.html... pick something like sites, resources, friends etc.

Then to add the links just put the following code:

Name (http://www.link.com) - Description can go here.

The target=_blank is so that it opens in a new window so the surfer doesn't leave your site. Hope that all made sense ;)

OH, I forgot...How do I exchange links? Do you paste and copy? I have no idea. Thanks in advance.....Kari

To exchange you would email the owner of the website you want to exchange with. If they accept your offer to exchange you will simply place their link on your website and send them your link for their website.

Although exchanges are still good, one way links are much better. You can get one way links by writing and sending out articles and press releases or you can buy a listing into directories like at www.wahm.com :D
