This one is in my sig file below, I have not tried it yet but you can make free calls over the internet. Check it out for yourself. Great to use for business especially if you are making phone calls. Free Internet Calls with Skype (http://cb-top.com/t.cgi?i=csm27&cid=71) Good luck

I've signed up for Skype, but so far have found that none of my clients or business contacts are using it. It seems like a great service, though. Hopefully it will gain more traction after being acquired by eBay.

I am new to Skype but I have friends all over the world and I am so excited to try it with them! I have tried it with family members who are close by and the sound quality is great!

I think once people find out about it they will love it!

This is true, but Skype has been unique in that it also allows you to make phone calls to a traditional phone (SkypeOut) and to get also get a phone number whereby somebody who isn't on Skype can call you on their phone (SkypeIn). Both of these are paid-for services, but they extend the voice call capabilities of Skype beyond their network to anyone using the traditional phone system. You can even get voice mail.

It's a full featured VOIP service, whereas the other instant messaging platforms limit you to voice chats within their network only and without the other phone-like features. However, unlike a traditional VOIP provider, Skype allows free calls within the network and there's no fee whatsoever if that's all you do. Yahoo IM will be becoming more like Skype, so there will be more competition in this area.
