I'm brand new to these message boards, but I figured that I would just jump on in!
I'm a SAHM to my DS who is nine months and my two school age step children. (By the way....I hate using the word "step"....I really consider them to be my own kids, even though I didn't give birth to them!)
My DH works at night and sleeps during the day. He goes to work at 8:00pm and arrives home at 7:00am.....he goes to bed by 8:00am and wakes up at 4:00pm. That means he is up and around for approx. 4 hours a day during his work week. Two days a week he has a part-time job in which he goes to work at 1:00pm and does not come home until 7:00am the following morning. (He works his part-time job and then when he leaves there, he goes straight to his full-time job!)
I adore my children.....but I honestly feel like a "single" married mom! Very rarely do I get a break! I'm the one to take care of the kiddos all day and all night! Because I am a SAHM, I feel cut off from the rest of the world.....sometimes I don't even feel human! We live out in the country, so play groups and Mom's day out events don't happen here. Just to get to the grocery store requires a half hour drive!
Thanks y'all for reading my post and coming to my pity party!! (No really, thanks for taking the time to read this and allowing me to vent.....it really does help!)
Be blessed! :D
