Lori,
You are too funny. My vent this week was actually with my kids. I have two girls and they had a nice rip roaring fight that really upset me.
I've had very long conversations with both of them since and I'm watching closely.

I'm happy to say (at this moment), I don't have anything to vent.
Phew!

I hear ya Audrey! My almost 4 year old Jack waits with baited breath all day for his older brother to come home and it seems like it's only minutes before they start arguing!
Sometimes they play together so well it just melts your heart, but other times -- yikes!
I'm happy to say (at this moment), I don't have anything to vent.
Phew!
Lucky duck!

We've had a few days of peace around here and it's been very nice. I even got the dishes washed TWICE!!!
During those times that I hear the two of them talking and sharing, yes my heart melts, however those times they fights, I pull my hair out.

I have a rant...
But it's about a different message board. So I don't think it would be appropriate to post it here. BUT....you can view my rant on my message board! hehehhehee:brazz:

Gosh... clients with unrealistic expectations, subcontractors that had a family emergency and now I have to work all kinds of hours tomorrow to get the stuff done, kids that won't go to sleep, 3.5 year old girl that won't potty train... LOL... my life is just one big rant! ;)

Let's see...my husband forgot our 9-year anniversary today (but redeemed himself by bringing home a dozen beautiful light pink roses with dark pink tips.
My 6.5 year old needs to be fed every 2 hours, just like a newborn. For some reason, after being on the low end of the height scale among his peers, he's hitting a growth spurt and is constantly eating. Literally, he'll eat a big dinner at 6:00 and right after I put him to bed at 8:15, he comes out of his room telling me how many times his tummy has growled so I feed him again.
Right as my new book comes out and I need to do more promotion for it, my client workload picks up, which also happened after my first book came out.
I was supposed to go to a free networking lunch today but was bogged down with client work so I had to miss it.
My rants seem pretty minor. It could be a lot worse I guess!

Hey Lauren,
Happy 9th anniversary! :D
Also congrats on both your books being published. I tried my hand at writing a few years back...even took a small course on it. But, it went nowhere! lol

My vent today is....people spelling the word Ridiculous incorrectly. It's RIDiculous not REDiculous. It's so ridiculous that it's making me REDiculously mad. LOL!
I'm with Tammy on the contest thing. I don't get it. No one wants free advertising??? How RIDiculous! :protest:

hmmm incorrectly spelled words? I have a wonderful friend. He runs million dollars campaigns for multi million dollar companies, yet when he emails me he always says "your" instead of "you're".
I have another friend who goes nuts with the wrong usage of "effect" and "affect"
I'm not a great speller at all. I could very easily see me spelling ridiculous wrong. Thankfully, when I write articles, I create them in MSWord, so Word catches a few of my errors. I then have every one of them proofed to catch the errors MSWord and my eye did not catch.
Is anyone as old as me, remembering typewriters with correction tape?

Tammy,
I would love to enter your contest, but I'm not home tonight :( I've been searching everywhere for additional places to advertise (hence how I keep running into you).
Run another contest for Thanksgiving and if I'm home, I'll enter :)
