I must tell you, I get frightened when watching the news and hearing of all the bad things that are happining. Today, I was reading msn.com that had an article about rising crimes.

Then I thought of something important, we all hold are future in our hands. We raise are children with love, patience and compassion. We shouldn't spoil them with materialistic things, but rather with love. We should teach them to be strong leaders, but with empathy towards other and to listen to what people say. Then they will grow up and someday be leaders in this world.

I look at my son and realize how blessed we are and I can only hope that I am a good enough parent to give him a strong foundation to change the world for the better. AND I am almost certain that 99% of all parents in this forum feels the same. Have faith, be good to others, and lead by example.

I was brought up very well by my parents and always used manners ect.
I have done the same with my own kids and now they are 17,16,15,12 and i am so proud of them they don`t drink nor smoke.

They don`t hang out on the streets,in fact my 2 eldest have little part time jobs.
I never told them to get jobs, they decided there selfs so that they had the freedom to buy stuff, like clothes ,go to concerts with friends ect.

I just can`t understand why kids are like they are today.
Having babys at 13-14 yrs old taking drugs, hanging out in groups in the streets attacking people.

What is this world coming to,when i was a kid i was afraid of the police, but now adays kids swear ect at the police and are`nt afraid of them.
