Hi my name is Leatha and from the looks of things I guess I am one of the few saying hello from the wonderful state of Utah! This I hate to admit I am one of the many who has been looking for a legitimate work at home job and have paid the money to some companies that I thought were upfront only to find out they were just as bad as the other only wrapped with a prettier package. I have been an administrative assistant, ok I like the good old word secretary for 25 years, I have a disability from an on the job injury and can only work part time or from home where I can pace myself. So now I am asking what everyone else is "Help Me Please"

What type of at home employment are you interested in? I would like to share something very dear to me and my family, if you're interested, and let you know what an amazing opportunity it is... In the meantime, please check out this site www.juiceplus.com/+sg47121. I hope you will find it beneficial and interesting.

Hi Leatha,
Welcome to Freelance Mom. It's a great place to meet people, network, etc. First off, I would recommend that you post your information in our resume area, under VA (virtual assistant). This site gets a lot of traffic and posting your information there will allow people searching for assistance to see yours up front.
Second, you can take a look thru the Forum for jobs. Sometimes people post for jobs and you can contact them.
Another thing you can do is visit any of a number of freelance job sites out there. I believe Lori has a list here somewhere, I'll look for it and post it later. Or you can take a peek around.
A good rule of thumb: Never pay money for a legitimate job; chances are, it isn't legitimate.
Best of luck!

Debbi (do you know you are an angle?)
I have been looking for years for the answers you just gave me. I can't believe it could be so easy and yet so difficult! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know these things and for the help you have offered, I will take all I can get at this time. I am trying to buy my house I have lived here for 17 yrs and now the Landlord wants to sell, because of an on the job injury I have not been able to regroup financially or otherwise so I am hoping I can at least get some extra work coming in to see if I can get where I need to get this house. When you are single, female and supporting family it never fails to amaze me how people react to my situation :( I think they feel like I am the most irresponsible person around. Well now you know more about me than you wanted to know I'm sure, but sometime these phony offers have a way of making you believe help is just around the corner, this is the first web site that make sense and I feel is not going to take me for a ride, I have enough miles on this old body, so any more advise is more than welcome. Again thank you so much for taking the time to help me.

Hi Leatha,
That's certainly not more then we wanted to know :) It's nice to get to know eachother - that's what the forum is for.
What kind of skills do you have? Think about how you can market them locally - and via the internet. You don't HAVE to depend on someone else to get a decent income coming in from working from home.
