HI everyone! I am new to the forum/website and I just wanted to add my little introduction.
I am new to the whole Virtual Assistant process. I've been in the administrative/clerical field for the past 10 years and have worked in numerous corporations/companies and thought that it would be easier to take my experience and knowledge into my fully-functional home office, which seemed like a good idea in the beginning. Finding the work has been the most difficult thing! I recently took on a project, worked about 5-6 weeks and now the person won't pay me after repeated emails saying they would. SO, I can say that this taught me a very valuable lesson - get a contract & retainer fee, which I didn't do b/c I thought I could trust the person.
So anyway, now I am back to looking for work again. So, if anyone can give me some valuable advise or refer me to anything that might lead me to finding something, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Kristie
