Hi all,
I was hoping to get some thoughts on my "official" design site (although after looking at the sites of the other designers that I've found frequenting these forums, I'm starting to feel like the ugly duckling  )
luna624 design (http://www.luna624.com)
but any thoughts are welcome
thanks :)

Really like the theme.
You have really used the images and rollover pretty well.
Great work!

Luna-
My first impression: beautiful! The layout and color scheme is very attractive. You've done a great job selecting the pictures for your navigation. I would suggest putting the pictures in the same order as your text navigation (this is something minor).
There is one thing that doesn't mix, in my opinion. You've got this professional design and this wording:
nearly any other litle do-dad you desire on your site......
and interactive bells & whistles,.....
With such a professional appearance you need professional wording, IMO. The current text gives the message that you're pretty laid back and a jr. developer.
Image is very important so you might want to focus on changing the wording on your site. Right now you're giving mixed messages.
And you shouldn't feel embarassed - you do have a beautiful site!
Hope this helps-
Lisa

thanks for the kind words redheadskater :)
I did review the wording, & changed things around a bit...I think it sounds more pro.
my site has also landed me a temp web design teaching job at the local 2 year college  yay! I'm so nervous, I start in a week.

I second that! That's a really big deal! Please check in with us and let us know how it's going. I don't blame you for being scared - I know I would be. Just be prepared and everything will be fine.
Good luck!!

Hi Jenn,
I like your website and color. Always glad to help someone from the "show me" state. I went to college in St. Louis so know the area well.
Good luck!
