Artists Helping Children

Since you are all moms, and mostly moms who stay home like me, I thought that this would be the perfect place to post. My husband and I just founded Artists Helping Children (www.ArtistsHelpingChildren.org), Our mission is to comfort sick and needy children with murals, artwork, art supplies, and toys. Do you have any old or new toys, or art supplies that you can donate to our cause? There are kids in shelters who haven't ever even owned a box of crayons, and art is a way that they can express themselves when they are ill or in a sad state. We are looking for any art supplies, paint brushes, crayons, markers, pencils, rulers, scissors, glue, paper, art kits, stamps, paint, glitter, anything. Also toys, such as teddy bears, dolls, etc. Also, if you have any old children's artwork that you used to hang in your child's room but aren't using it anymore, there are hospital and shelters that could use brightening up to make into a less threatening place for children.
