Anyway, I just found your site. My name is Marisa and I am from Oregon. I have been a home-based medical transcriptionist for the past 8 years and am looking into becoming a virtual assistant.

Medical transcription is an awesome skill to have. Is it difficult finding work? What makes you want to move more into Virtual Assistance?

Yes, medical transcription has been very "good" to me and I am thoroughly enjoying that part of my career.

I am interested in virtual assisting because I would like to get into doing some different types of projects and different types of transcription. Also, because I am afraid of outsourcing and voice recognition! Thought it might be good to plan for down the road in case these things start happening around here.
