What sort of office skills does one need at home - word processing, using an excel spreadsheet, etc.

I think it really depends on what type of work you plan to do at home. Every opportunity will require different skills. Some might only require that you have a word processor; some may only require the internet or email. In my work, the only thing that is truly required is internet access, email and notepad. (And a comfy chair. :hee: ) I use graphic software occassionally, but rarely and it isn't really required. I can certainly get by with out it.
