I was wondering what kind of different advertising does everyone use to to promote your product or website? And the ones you're using are they working? And maybe you can let us know the ones that are not working so great too!

I like adwords, blogging, and traffic exchanges for advertising. I get the most results with traffic exchanges, right now. I use traffic swarm ( http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?492725 ) , there are others out there that might suit you better. I think it mostly depends on what it is you're trying to promote.

I've done some banner advertising on sites with very targeted audiences (including right here at FreelanceMom!). I've found this very useful to get the word out and it has helped me build my traffic quite a bit. I'd suggest this targeted approach when starting out rather than 'carpet bombing' ads everywhere.

I have been using forums, traffic exchanges, and working on a blog. The one thing I would say about the traffic exchanges is not to pay the fee. Just use the free level. Later, if you find that exchange works very well for you, then pay out the bucks for more credits.

I have also begun to use Veretekk. It is a great lead creating progam. You can advertise Veretekk, or any of your on businesses. They send out the email with leads they provide, and then when you get a response it makes it a warm lead or a premium lead. When you actually call the person to tell them about your business they know who you are, and have been waiting for your call. It also gives you a email address so you dont have to fill your email box with more stuff. And best of all you can do this for free!! I personally am using the free version until I get a good flow of money coming in. Then I will upgrade to the gold version.
