(CNN) -- Denise Garlow clearly recalls the summer day when her 9-year-old daughter brought home a plate from Girl Scouts.
On the plate was a transfer drawing of colorful, mouse-like creatures with large saucer ears and big black eyes.
"I said, 'Grace, what are these little characters? What do you call them?' " Garlow said.

I hope she's able to get her idea off the ground. I remember when Cabbage Patch Dolls were the in thing. We were so fortunate to get one when they were all sold out. Then came Beanie Babies. We just recently gave away a ton of those. Wouldn't it be neat for her if her daughter's idea turning into one of these fads for them?

That was a very inspiring story. one of which is much needed in times like today with all of the uncertainty of the economy. Keeping a positive attitude and pushing forward is not always an easy thing to do no matter what age you are.

I hope things take off for her. Maybe with this new story she has found the financial backing she could use. If I had the means, I would help.

To all of us, I hope we take this message and remember it when times are not going so well for us. You never know what is around the corner or who will be behind that door. If you give up, you will never know now will you? Hang on, and believe that you are here for a purpose(even if you have to create that purpose yourself)

This is a very inspiring story. I know that this will work out for her if she continue to pursue and dream. This reminds me that some of the most profitable businesses today was birthed during the Great Depression. I think that durning down times in our econonmy it forces us to search deep to find out what really is hidden on the inside of us. No matter what happens remember to always dream because " Only as much as you dream can you be." By Karen Raven.

Good Luck!!!!!

The story is really interesting and at the same time very inspiring .. !
i can say , having an inspiration can also motivates you what you really like in your life ..and of course , sky is the limit when it comes to pursuing your dreams ..just believe in yourself !

Truly inspiring...it reminds me of the saying "when God closes the door, he opens a window". Pretty much describes how even if Denise had encountered a very discouraging situation, she still found a way and took that opportunity to continue on with her dreams. :flower:
