My 2 year old son...

Hello everyone! I was wondering why ever since we got rid of my son's paci, he's had the worse time going to sleep at night. It's been about a month so he should be over it by now. He doesn't ever mention it. He will stay up for an hour or so before he finally falls asleep. He's still in his crib because he's yet to climb out. I just don't get it! He gets a bath right before bedtime so he should be relaxed. Any suggestions?

It's great he's not asking for his paci any more but does he have something else he can hold and cuddle up with? A favorite teddy or blanket maybe? Does he cry or play quietly in his crib?

If this is something new since he stopped using his paci then just give him time to adjust. All children are different. My 2-1/2 yr old granddaughter has to have something to hug. She has her favorite but when she sleeps over, and they forget to bring it along, I give her some other stuffed toy. She fusses a bit but a nice back rub usually works wonders :D

Hello Adriana! It depends what mood he's in if he's quiet or crying. He has the really soft night-nights that he sleeps with and some stuffed animals in his crib but he still just doesn't go to sleep very easily.

I guess it will just take time!

Yes it will and wait till he moves to a "big boy" bed ..... all the creative excuses they can come up with to climb in and out :rofl:

Ha! I came home on Saturday and my hubby changed his crib over to the big boy bed!! Last night I rocked him to sleep and Saturday night I laid in bed with him and rubbed his back until he fell asleep! He kept talking to me so I told him I was going to leave and I did. Went back in there a couple minutes later and he was in the rocker! LOL
