In these tough economic times, many are still looking for work. However, job hunters should be aware of some new, and disturbing "PayPal" scams that involve fake—and potentially costly-- work-at-home job opportunities. In March, we heard from a victim who lost $3,000 by answering a Monster.com job ad from a company called InSyncSoft. Claiming to be based in Prague, in the Czeck Republic, the company was looking for people with PayPal experience and promised to pay 10% and up on any transactions that the person facilitated. The ad has been on Monster.com and CareerBuilders, but both sites have removed the ads.

The ads were basically the same, showing attractive hourly rates or a potential of making up to $9,000 a week. We heard of another company with similar ads is Eastern Exchange, as well as one called Ross Soft, with a rep called Kevin Lesoe.
