Hi all, I've been looking for something to supplement my income (besides the freelance web design, freelance graphic design, AND part time day job that I already have) and have started looking into Watkins. I really like the products they offer! They look really wonderful.

How is your business doing? Are people still interested in the products offered? Are they expensive to buy as an associate? Are you making a decent enough income to stick with it?

I live in a rural area, with lots of lower income families (small town, central Missouri). Are these products going to be a hard sell in an area like mine from your experience? I don't know that there are any other reps for Watkins in my area. Is there a way to check on that?

I tried Herbalife a few years ago (not for me, the prices!! ouch), is Watkins different? Better? Is there a monthly minimum of products you have to buy in order to remain a rep (like Herbalife made you do, and if you didn't place an order, they placed one for you and charged you anyway - whether you had money in your bank account or not, which sucked, and is the main reason I quit). But veering back on topic....

I just want to avoid a bad experience that leaves me that much poorer. Just looking for feedback and experiences mostly.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi Jenn
Welcome to the Watkins folder. I have been with Watkins for going on 9 years now and love it.
I will try to answer your questions for you here.

How is your business doing?

My business is doing great. I just picked up two new customers over the weekend. I sell a lot from my home, I market online and offline both.

Are people still interested in the products offered?

Yes people still are interested in the products offered. With Watkins, they are always bringing out new products as well. The company is 140 years old and many people know our products and love them. There are a lot of people still who have no idea what we are about. People are forever telling me they have been searching for a Watkins rep and they are always happy when they find me. So yes they are still very much interested.

Are they expensive to buy as an associate?

As an associate the products are not expensive to buy. We get from 25-39% profit on each product we buy ourselves or sell to a customer. As our level moves up, so does our income.

Are you making a decent enough income to stick with it?

Well seeing I have been with Watkins for going on 9 years I have to say yes I am making a decent enough income to stick with it. Otherwise I would be moving on to another business.

I live in a rural area, with lots of lower income families (small town, central Missouri). Are these products going to be a hard sell in an area like mine from your experience?

I don't think its difficult to sell our products anywhere. We have many ways to earn income with Watkins. It makes no difference really where you live as people do love our products.

I don't know that there are any other reps for Watkins in my area. Is there a way to check on that?

I am sure if you called Watkins and asked if there were any reps in your area they might be able to tell you. Don't forget, everyone knows different people so the number of reps in one area shouldn't make much difference. As I said, there are a number of ways to make money with Watkins.

I tried Herbalife a few years ago (not for me, the prices!! ouch), is Watkins different? Better?

I have not tried any Herbalife products so can't say much on that subject.

Watkins has NO monthly quotas. You work the business as you see fits your lifestyle. Watkins does like the Associates to place an order at least every 6 months just to keep your membership active. They do not force you. There is no pressure with Watkins whatsoever.

I just want to avoid a bad experience that leaves me that much poorer. Just looking for feedback and experiences mostly.

I hope this helps answer your questions for you. I am happy to answer any others you may have.

Have a great week.:)

Hello Jenn! Nice to meet you.:)

Hope I can answer some of your questions for you along with Darlene.

How is your business doing?

Business is great! Watkins products have a very good reputation as well as the business opportunity. It is amazing when I mention Watkins...peoples eyes light up! I sell from home, online, craft & gift events, catalog parties, fundraisers etc. I am also a member of the Watkins Summit Group. This group provides additional resources, business tools, promotions, a FREE E-book website to provide to others that are interested in the Watkins business opportunity. I must say my business is doing fantastic because of the Summit Group. If you join Watkins with a person that is a member you become a member also (NO ADDITIONAL COST). I have a very good size team, which I am always available to offer support and help too. They are much more than a team, they are friends.

Are people still interested in the products offered?

For sure, When people know( and or discover) the quality of Watkins products they remain very loyal. Watkins is 140 years old but this company stays true to it's roots and keeps up to date with today's trends all at the same time.

Are they expensive to buy as an associate?

As an associate you get a discount of 25-39%. All associates get the 25% and the high level you get the more bonuses you receive. Plus Watkins offers new sales every month & you still get you 25% off the sale price.:)

Are you making a decent enough income to stick with it?
I am very content with my income with Watkins. I have tried other companies in the past and none compare to Watkins.

I live in a rural area, with lots of lower income families (small town, central Missouri). Are these products going to be a hard sell in an area like mine from your experience?

I think selling ANY product is a hard thing to do. So I don't sell, I INTRODUCE Watkins products to others. I show them the quality and my experiences with the products. That is how I grow my business. If you believe in the products then you will be able to help others see what you see.

Don't forget you can introduce Watkins products across Canada and the US. You are not "stuck"with just your area. I have customers and team members from all over.

I don't know that there are any other reps for Watkins in my area. Is there a way to check on that?

As Darlene said you can always call Watkins and ask about your area. Please do not let that stop you. Just because there might be reps doesn't mean they are going to me competing with you for business. Some reps only buy from themselves and family. Some only do certain things. I live in a small town and there are at least 2 other reps. This has not hindered my business at all. There are so many different ways to do you Watkins business.

I tried Herbalife a few years ago (not for me, the prices!! ouch), is Watkins different? Better?

I also have not tried Herbalife. I find Watkins prices very reasonable and the quality speaks for itself.

Is there a monthly minimum of products you have to buy in order to remain a rep (like Herbalife made you do, and if you didn't place an order, they placed one for you and charged you anyway - whether you had money in your bank account or not

Watkins has NO Monthly Quotas, requires NO Inventory. This is YOUR business you order when and how much you want.

I just want to avoid a bad experience that leaves me that much poorer. Just looking for feedback and experiences mostly.

Watkins costs only $39.95. If you want to upgrade later that is up to you, you will never be required to do so.

I hope some of your questions have been answered. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide.

Jenn, I don't think you will be sorry. Now is a great time to get started due to our Seasonal Favorites that are available. They make great gifts for the holidays.
