Like so many of you I work from home every day and often I find it hard to accomplish anything. Either things get crazy around the house or I have to run erands.

I have started prioritizing myself and I noticed I am getting much more done. Here is what I do:

1. I get up really early in the morning before anyone else and get the main things done that I need to.

2. I take breaks from home-work durring the day and do my online work then.

3. I know when to quit. I don't work myself too hard every day to the point that I get sick of getting online.

4. I allow time for my work to work. I don't expect results over-night so when my paycheck is lower I don't get too upset.

Thats really all I do now but I notice my productivity has gone way up and my stress way down. Good luck all!

Great suggestions! I've experience just keeping to that makes my day smoother. Also, if I don't get to certain things, I try not to sweat it. The dishes, laundry, etc., will patiently wait until I get to it. :D

Oh laundry is very patient. It will grow and multiply waiting and it waits for weeks for me LOL.

great suggestions! Sounds like the key is to do a bit of evreything throughout the day and not let one thing take over your time...

I love the laundry waits! Yes that is true
I am going to spend a weekend at my daughters while they are away and help her with some organization and cleaning., She has four kids under 8 and it will be her birthday weekend.,
When she gets back we will spend a few more days just chatting about things, getting a facial and working on some more organization, She homeschools too so she needs alot of support,.
Keep the suggestions coming!

Running your own business and a household is not something one person can do I have found. Systems really do help, and I agree that the priority list is critical!

For people struggling with housework, I always endorse www.flylady.net -- terrific site!
