When you eat out if your food is not exactly as you expected it, do you return it? Do you say something? Do you just never return?
We had a recent Starbucks issue. This was while we were gone. We stopped at Starbucks at 8am before heading home. We bought a Cinnamon Coffee Cake. We didn't eat it, but instead brought it home with us, 300 miles south of where we bought it. When we opened it that night, we had a different cake. I know it was only $1.95 but I was really disappointed. Starbucks local was willing to take back the wrong cake and give us the right one. Our receipt showed the right cake on it.

I will return dishes not cooked the way I asked. We will usually give the benefit of the doubt for the first time we visit a restaurant (especially if they handle it in a gracious manner). However, if it is a repeat performance the next we go, we will complain and not return again.
I am willing to pay a little more for a good meal, cooked the way I like with nice wait staff. I won't give my hard earned money for food that isn't what I want.

Oh, I forgot to add:
I refuse, however, to stoop to their level and make a scene. I just won't return.

I have to admit Starbucks in our city is very good with customer service. They get an order wrong, they fix it and give you a complimentary card the next time you visit Starbucks. If you wait too long for your order, you get a complimentary card the next time you visit them. They seem to be the very few who take customer satisfaction seriously.
If the food isn't what I ordered, then yes I say something and return it. No point in paying and eating something you're not satisfied with.

Lately, I wouldn't say the food quality has been the exception but that the servings sure seem to have gotten a lot smaller, while the bill has gotten a lot larger...we are better off using our $100.00 for a delicious, southern-cooked meal with all the fixings (seconds are always encouraged). :)

I have to agree on price. It makes eating home much more attractive.

I have changed so much in this area...
Me being the shy person that I am (used to) not say anything. But, it's a different story now.
I like my steak well done and if it's even slightly pink, I'll speak up and tell them to get it right...nicely of course.

Ahh Tammy, next time it's not cooked enough, invite me over, I'll eat it :)
