Summer Olympics

Are you watching the Olympics or are you boycotting them?

I've read a lot of controversy over the fact that Americans are supporting China.

I know when I've looked at the t.v., the media is all over the Chinese for the ages of gymnasts, the lip syncing at the opening ceremonies etc.

I've lost interest in the Olympics over the years. With the professionals playing (i.e., tennis and basketball), to me its just another game. I think the Olympics have become more about the marketing and making money than about amateur athletes competing in their chosen sport.

I watch the Olympics. It's amazing what these athletes are capable of. I just ignore the other crap like the lip-synching etc. I just want to watch top athletes in different countries compete against each other...I don't really care if the Chinese gymnasts are underage. All I can say is wow! If they are 13 or 14, what an amazing young athlete they are.

I am amazed how young these athletes start training and put almost everything in there lives on hold to compete.
