how busy you are so I don't feel like a complete mommy freak! LOL

Ok, so...I work a 40 hour a week job, but I'm salaried, so we all know how that goes!!!! I work with Domestic Violence survivors.

I work my Arbonne biz about 15 hours a week. I love this job and I know it will carry me and I don't have a problem doing this because I know the results will come. I am passionate about helping people and giving them the time they deserve with their families!

I also started doing real estate again and do this about...oh 5 or 6 hours per week.

I am also on call 2 over nights a week for a hospital domestic violence advocacy program.

I also have 3 kids, one step kid and a husband.
And sleep??? I'm not sure I know that that is any more! LOL...

I will HOPEFULLY be able to quit my "real" job by the end of Oct. I will still work in domestic violence. But I won't have set hours then! That will be nice.

Sooooo....please tell me that I'm not weird??? lol

Like you I work non profit. I work about 30 hours a week. Then I work about 30 more online. Then I have two kids and an outside life, meaning friends, activites etc.

One thing that is really very important is my down time, my own personal time. I find personal time each and every day.

Yes, i agree. I buffer in time to me. I have a 25 min commute to and from work every day, so sometimes, that is all the me time I get but that is ok. I can crank up the music, or call my family or whatever. It's nice to have the time!!!

What kind of non prof stuff do you do, Audrey?

I work in a 650 family religious institution. It's a lot of fun. I really love working with all of the families.

That is great, Audrey. The Non prof I work for is sponsored by Catholic Sisters, so it is a great environment.

I can't wait to do more with my NM biz so that I can give back even more. I can't wait! I see the benefit of each and every person that helps here and i am so excited!!!

I work 40+ hours a week in my own business plus have 3 kids, too many animals to name and a husband. but I HAVE to have me time and kid time, so I try to carve out the time between 2:30-4:30 as kid time and the kids have a decent bed time so the time after that is for me (usually). work gets squeezed in around that. :t9:

I too tend to take my me time in the evening before bed.

Lori.....you have to take "me time"....even if it's just a walk around the block. We all need that time to clear our heads and just be alone.

I like to get up in the morning before the kids get up (when I can get up early!)and practice yoga or meditation. Even if it's 10-15 minutes, it helps me to stay connected and to find my personal space.

When I do yoga in the morning it prepares me for my day with the kids, work and the crazy's of life!

The afternoon and night time yoga is great to relieve stress too. I also like to read a bit to wind down. :)

Same like Samutherr....

I also wakeup early at 5 am before anyone else my son and husband, so I have time to do self hypnosis and meditation before start my works. Its really make me calmer than before and my daily tasks goes smoothly as plan. Lots of disturbance if you are working and resting with your family around. They just can't let us find our 'me' time... (its good- because its mean that need us :) )

Wow, you guys are amazing!

I also work 40+ hours for a non profit. I do a part time soy candle business, make my own candles (really it's my fun time and a good tax write off since my kids are grown and gone). Plus work to promote my website about work life balance issues, that I'm very much in process of learning myself:)

One thing I do however with this load is I hire someone to clean my house twice per month. It's worth every cent and really quite reasonable, so that when I am off, I can go make candles or do something else I enjoy more. I started doing that when I worked a corporate job as I found I did nothing but work, and it made me miserable. I don't think it's healthy to do nothing but work and have nothing brings no joy to help balance it out. I would rather work a few more hours to pay for my housecleaning help.

Val,

I hate house cleaning. I too have someone come in twice a month. It just works for me :)

he..he... I thought I am the only one who do not like doing house chores. I am also planned to hire full time helpers for my house. Since I am pregnant now and due next month, the maid will come to work with us next week. I wish after this I got more time to concentrate with my internet business and generate more money, this way, she really worth it.

I honestly think I have yet to have me time since I posted that!

Well - one night I sat by the fire (we have them in our backyard some nights) by myself. I remember noting 'Wow, I'm alone!'... but that lasted all of ten minutes. I'm dead serious.

Life with 4 kids and running a business with my husband -- I really, truly, never have alone time.

We're going on vacation by the way - tomorrow until Monday. Maybe I'll find a minute to soak alone in that jacuzzi :D
