I have written a couple of tutorials on subjects I don't see on the Internet or anywhere really and am wondering what you guys think I might do with it.

The first tutorial is about how to get started freelancing in the print market. I thought of putting it either on my website or one of my blogs so people can access it for free but then I thought maybe I should try to sell it in some form. I have given away a much-scaled down version of it dozens of times to people who have asked. In fact, I took that version and expanded on it to get what I have now.

Right now it is a 3,000 word document broken down into 10 smaller (5 short paragraphs or so) segments or steps.

Just wondering what you great business-minded writers might think.

I also have a tutorial on maintaining and styling biracial hair (written for Caucasian parents) that I have the same question about.

Both of these are on topics that I do not see on the Internet much or at all so I am wondering if there is a market (however small it may be) for this information from someone who has learned from experience.

Should I try to market this information? If so, how? I am a terrible salesperson but I do think this is information that some people want and need.

Suggestions please!!!!

Hi Michelle --

You might want to check out some of Marlon Sanders products. He's really big on selling information.

I think your idea is viable. I would do keyword research on your target markets and build the sales pages accordingly.

I'm more into providing information for free - but earning money from the adsense and other advertising revenue.

I think it really depends on the website. Have you done anything with the idea yet?

Thanks Lori, no I haven't done anything with the information yet. I'm with you, I'm thinking more along the lines of just providing it for free. That way I don't have to mess with any financial issues. I have it broken down into several sections that I could post on my blog Mommy's Working (http://www.mommysworking.blogspot.com). (I am exploring options for monetizing my blogs.)
