Unresearched...
Answer the phones for my driving school from your home. I can afford to pay about $400 per month for this part-time position at this time, but the pay structure is negotiable and the hours may vary.
I already have someone doing this full-time (my Office Manger), but she needs time to do the accounting and the other work. So, you will cover phones about 8 hours per week, and occasionally we may need you on very short notice. Often when she can't answer phones, I can. I generally answer phones myself on Sundays.
Some days we get only 30 calls a day, other days 100 per day. So, it's possible to "cover" the phones for an hour without getting a single phone call. Calls average about 1 to 4 minutes each. I will provide a new phone, and you will need a high-speed internet connection to book appointments.
In general you will answer questions and schedule appointments. For example you will get questions such as "What is required for a teenager to get a driver's license?" or "Can you tell me about your instructors?" People advise me to get a high-end answering service, but the questions are a little bit too complex for that. Basically, I need to train you personally as my answering service. Unless the phone rings, your time is completely flexible but you must be ready to answer in 1 or 2 rings. (Without background noise please.)
My Office Manager will probably focus on phones less as time goes on, so this could evolve to full time work (still at home) if everything works out well.
We will train you in our office for about 1 to 2 days before you're ready.
It's a big plus if you're bilingual since we are dealing with the public.
P.S. I've never had an employee who didn't seem happy to have me as a boss. I am generous with money, and I communicate openly and honestly.
