Prestigious, high-quality transcription company is offering a long-term freelance opportunity to one rare, needle-in-the haystack type of person who has a great deal of experience as a transcriptionist, is highly educated, and is a grammar aficionado. Must be able to deliver both nonverbatim and verbatim transcripts that are of a finished, professional quality. Experience with time-coded transcripts preferred. Must possess transcription software, familiarity working with digital files.
This opportunity is for one who currently transcribes from home and has no other serious job or other commitments. We are not your average transcription company. We are more of a boutique, and seriously vet prospective transcriptionists. You must be at the top of your game in terms of proficiency with English grammar and listening comprehension skills; responsiveness to our emails or calls; a typing speed of 90 wpm or above; strict adherence to deadlines.
There is a process each new transcriptionist undergoes with us, in which we impart our way of transcribing certain words or utterances, and a new transcriptionist must eventually be able to incorporate these. Therefore, patience is required on your end. However, once you are in alignment with how we do things, it's clear sailing ahead.
We are not seeking a person who is looking for a temporary gig, or one with little to no experience in transcription. Some people who do transcription prepare transcripts of a very rough quality. That is not what we do here.
We have awesome relationships with our freelancers and pay a very good hourly rate per hour of audio.
If you meet the above qualifications, respond to this ad with your resume. We will only be able to respond to those submissions that meet our qualifications. We will ask that you transcribe a five-minute audio sample, where one-half is transcribed verbatim and the other half nonverbatim.
