This position can be filled in the following states based on all requirements listed below: FL, IN, KS, MN, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA and WY This is an "At Home" position.

As a Work at Home employee, you are responsible for obtaining your own computer system and home office, consistent with the requirements described below. Due to systems requirements, EMBARQ Work at Home employees must reside within EMBARQ phone service territory.

Resolve customers' issues by performing activities either with direct assistance or by appropriate referral. Primary job duties involve technical trouble shooting helpdesk assistance for high speed internet customer. Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken. Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems. Obtain and examine information to verify complaints and to determine possible causes. Confer with customers by phone to provide information about products and services. Refer unresolved customer issues for further investigation.

Please note, the starting annual salary for this position is $11.00/hour. Employees in this position are also eligible for incentive-based performance bonuses.

- This position can be filled in the following states: FL, IN, KS, MN, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA and WY NOTE: Center operating hours are currently Monday through Saturday 6am to 2am, and Sundays from 6am to midnight (possible 24X7)
- The Part Time hours are 6pm to 10pm or 7pm to 11pm, Mon - Sat. hours including holidays.
- As a Work at Home employee, you are responsible for obtaining your own computer system and home office, consistent with the requirements described below: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MAC, OS drivers, and TCP/IP protocols
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware/software and familiarity with data products and services
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work self sufficiently and effectively in a home-based work environment
- Ability to consistently handle a high volume of customer calls in a professional manner throughout the workday
- Previous technical support experience is preferred
Systems Requirements: 1. At-Home Technical Support Technicans are responsible for having access to the following minimum technical requirements for "at home" work in this position:

* PC with a minimum of Windows XP, 1.5 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM, USB Webcam, DVD player, PC headset & microphone, and latest virus & spyware software.
* Must have EMBARQ telephone service
* Must have EMBARQ High Speed Internet Service, minimum speed (1.5 mbps)
* Dedicated space with adequate work surface
* Work area must be free from background noise and distractions
* Live in EMBARQ territory

2. Must meet the following Embarq physical/logistical requirements for "at home" work in this position:
